Our tryouts are a placement test. They are free of charge and take approx. 5-10 minutes per swimmer.
Register Online
Once you have completed your tryout, the MARS Office will provide you with directions on how to register online.
TRYOUTS
Our try-outs are a placement test. If a child has the ability to swim across the 25 yd pool, on top of the water, a Freestyle or crawl stroke, we have a place for them. If a swimmer has a greater ability or previous experience, they will be placed in a higher level group. What to Bring:
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Goggles (optional)
-Swim Cap (optional)
Swimmers who demonstrate the proper techniques will receive an information packet with the team’s policies, procedures, and registration instructions.
SWIM TEAM
(once you have completed your tryout, registration instructions will be given to you from the MARS office.)
Most of our new swimmers start in our Pre-Competitive Three days per week for 40- minutes. In this group, we introduce the swimmers to the competitive strokes. We also teach them turns and starts. When the swimmer is proficient at competitive strokes, we promote them to our Bronze group. At this level, the swimmers begin competing. Typically, this process takes about 3-6 months, depending upon the level of the swimmer when they enter the program. We promote them individually, not as a group.
